Any solution, will only prop up the overheatd housing market and make the bubble even bigger.
I think its going to be a loadf of c**p.
Probably another irresponsible proiperty program.

Outrageous that someone can be allowed to say that on prime time TV.

She can not tell people this kind of information surely. Does that means she will be liable when the market collapses and all the first time buyers are left in negative equity?
This program was a complete disgrace. The title says its an estate agent view vs the ecomist view. Where was the economist view?? It seemed to be some estate agent speaking cowpat boasting up an even bigger bubble to burst.
I reckon we should all put complaints in. At least give a negative view that the market is reaching boiling pint!

Sorry, I can see this subject has been covered elsewhere. I am however, frankly furious about the advice given on this programme and the lack of an alternative view. I will (for the first time) be writing to the BBC to complain. Anyone else who feels the same, please post your letter and any response on this thread. I will do so when it is composed.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/make_complaint.shtmlIf you watched this programme and found it horrendous in terms of trying to catch the last few remaining gullibles out there, please complain to the BBC, if they get a load of people complaining about having to listen to more vested interest rubbish they might think twice about such blatantly biased reporting next time....
Well my complaint has been sent already...especially since the 'estate agent expert' looked like the devil and I am going to suffer nightmares for weeks....

EA Women: "this 90k house will double in value in a very short space of time"!!!!
WTF?!!! She was kidding right?!!
That programme was exactly the sort of trash you'd expect the BBC to come up with; "everythings great, house prices wont crash, Labour have re-written the history/rules of economics and ended boom-bust cycles" etc

Of all the property programmes I've watched in the last couple of years that was the most terrifying. Does anyone know who this Barbara Goldmsith is? The advice she ws giving to ftbs was scandalous. The problem is that she is, I presume, not accountable to anyone - and she has probably pocketed a fat fee for appearing on the show while her "victims" are likely to see their hard-earned money disappear down the s***hole. Truly disgusting.......

This was very irresponsible TV making. It depressed the hell out of me. Imagine how other FTBers felt watching that and taking it as fact. Interesting to see that the FTBers featured didn't think the props was worth that money either. Although it did say the young couple bought somewhere in the end. Me thinks they will sell up once they realise the huge mistake they have taken on. Why didn't anyone advise them to rent if they were so desperate to get out of their parents home? At least to save more of a deposit.
The worst advice I have ever heard. All the big no-no's rolled into one.

What a completely shocking waste of the license fee!
I can't believe that she said that the 92k house in Yorkshire will "double in value very shortly"....it's utterly scandalous....I mean it's like putting smallpox in the water!
Where was the economist chap featured in the BBC article??
I have submitted a strongly worded complaint to the BBC.

The program was so bad that it can only help to put off the FTB's IMO.
It just backed up the fact that its almost impossible for the average FTB to scrape together enough for anything but the most undesirable housing in the country.
I think the BBC actually did us a favour showing that.
