New development in Leicester, Birstall (A6), earmarked for up to 900 new homes by a local building developer (J**sons), currently approx 50 houses (sorry hutches) built and that's after 18-24 months.

Just heard, from wife's friend, who's contact must remain anonymous, that the developer has sold the remaining land to another company, not sure if this another building group or some vulture capitalists.

Looks like the big boys are feeling the pinch !

Have previously heard that J**sons paid over 2 million GBP for the land (from an ex-employee), wonder how much it's worth now ?

I know that development,it is hideous.All the builders are deep in the mire,most are 100% leveraged so wouldn't want to be them when the banks come a knocking for some margin

I wonder if anywhere is still selling 'off-plan' these days.
