I dented my deposit by buying a car a year and a bit ago.
I do have to drive 130 miles a day to work.
Should I sell the car (get about 7K) bank 5K and get a cheaper one?

Ordinarily I'd advise somebody to get a bicycle, but 130 miles a day might be a little far to pedal.

Kinda what I was thinking, could get around £300 interest on that 5K per year and replace the car if it f***s up.
The 130 miles per day is two weeks of the month, I lift share.
