Just been doing my weekly Property Bee scan for Surrey.

Some nice drops in places like Warlingham, Tadworth, Kingswood and Guildford.

But what most enticed me this week was this one near Woking:

Part of a period mansion previously owned by the Broadwood family. 4/5 bedrooms and about 2/3 acre secluded garden but with good access for vehicles, storage etc. Unexpectedly re-available.

.....as distinct from 'expectedly re-available.'

Round this way, they're billed as "Surprisingly re-available" I keep a tally from the local rag, and at the moment, surprisingly, there are very few of these in comparison to last summer (the last few weeks there haven't been any).

I hoping that the number of Surprisingly re-availables will be a large indicator in the coming months - chains falling through, and also properties taken off the market as a vendor has received an offer, then back on again as the surveyor/mortgage valuer gives a big fat "no" to the price they've offered/ mortgage they need...

I have had two chains fall apart this week already.

Your post comes as no surprise to me at all.

Maybe the reason there arent more is that the clients are getting their fingers burnt paying abortive fees. Also mortgage offers run out after three months and many are not being renewed by the banks.
