Full Version: Swansea Tower Is Falling Down?
House Price Crash forum > House Prices > Anecdotals
Byron
It was going to be the tallest residential structure in Wales, all 29 stories of it, all Luxury Executive apartments with delightful views of the bay, Swansea prison and within staggering distance of the City Centre binge spots, only a stones throw from the DSS office.
They decided to build it in the old South Dock, right alongside the beach. To quote them "Swansea is long overdue for this type of building" (They said that because it will tower above everything else in a low rise City and ruin the skyline for everyone)
BUT......as it was beside the beach, they built it on sand.
At the half way stage, they stopped building, initially because someone fell off it and was killed and the H and SE are investigating.
Now, strong rumours abound that it is subsiding!
I wonder why

How far does it have to sink before it ceases to be the tallest residential structure in Wales?

Unsubstantiated. I can't find any links re this at all.

Yeah, but just think how many tourists the Leaning Tower of Pisa has brought in over the centuries; the Leaning Tower of Swansea could make billions for the local economy.

The rumours of subsidance are totaly without foundation, as is the tower block.
