Has anyone else noticed this ?

At the height of the BTL boom last spring, Southampton was full of middle aged slightly overweight blokes with shaved heads and lairy untucked shirts 'n jeans driving around in blacked out Range Rover Sports with number plates like "B16 GUY".

They could also be spotted out in The Solent (Cowes, Yarmouth etc) in great big 'stink boats' chucking champagne bottles and large cans into neighbour's cockpits.

But I don't see any now. There are also a lot fewer tracksuited, baseball cap wearing types gobbing and swearing in the High Streets.

Is this because the debt securitization industry is no longer chucking them a tidal wave of sub-primt debt to blow ?

Are they now as skint as they should've been this last few years ?

Let's hope so.

Well now, just look at the booming prison population

I saw a woman in one at the end of my road (central Southampton) yesterday, so they are still about.

My sisters first husband is big in BTL in Winchester, he turned up at my nephews wedding last week with a Rolls Royce. Albeit an old one. Still, his time will come!

I was in town today - I saw at least five Range Rover Sports in West Quay.

Still, we don't know how over due the payments are do we.

Perhaps the resale value of Range Rover Sports has dropped so low that they're all being chopped down into cross-country trials 'specials'! LOL!

There's one down the road from us owned by a builder (he calls himself a property developer).

His wife, a proper fishwife if there ever was one, drives their kids to school in it. All of 600 yards, I kid you not.

Just wait for the sun to come out again, these people need to be seen, the motors will be the last thing they let go even if there world is falling in around them. It`s all about image.

They will even try and use the BI6 BOY Motor to empty there s*****y apartments en-route back to mums when they lose there friggin BTL`s
