You know that little eye on top of the pyramid on the reverse side? At half-past ten on the last Tuesday in February in a leap year, a little cuckoo comes out of it and does a dance.

German business confidence report was more positive than expected and is pushing Euro up. wink.gif

Edit: It is banging up against the critical break or turn level mentioned by Dr. B at the weekend.

Today's timetable:-

13:30 January producer price index (PPI)
14:00 December S&P/CaseShiller home price index
15:00 February consumer confidence
15:00 February Richmond Fed manufacturing index
15:00 Q4 house price index
22:00 February ABC consumer confidence

EURO and USD trading at critical support and resistance levels (1.4880 and 75.30) right now so the FED and ECB are going to be going at it full tilt this afternoon. Should be interesting!

It needs to weaken to the point where the shift of jobs from West to East reverses.

I prefer watching the hpc-ers frantically try to figure out the wisdom of these threads, speculating about all sorts of impending doom that someone so knowledgeable has alluded too...so knowledgeable that they don't explain.

Until the next one...

far too specific. It needs to be much more vague and ambiguous. And then invent yourself a little strap line for which you become known and then you can admire all that you have created.

aren't they taking the p1ss out of it though? Do you start threads just to see how many responses you get, or do you start them because you have a serious point / comment to add?

For example, your response just added to the list of replies, but it had nothing to do with the "single enigmatic line".

Dunno what dollar chart your looking at

http://new.quote.com/us/futures/chart.acti...mp;x=39&y=7

From a technical perspective I think it is breaking out of its wedge and has no support below 75.00. It's clearly a good way for the Yanks to reduce the value of their enormous deficit. Coupled with today's inflation figures (which would annualise at 12pct) the fall in house prices (which would annualise at 35pct) not to mention monoline "AAA" scam things do not look wonderful statesside.

In time it will I suppose land on these shores too.

I've just heard that they're going to introduce a $3 note.

So many people will want one as a souvenir that it will boost the ailing dollar.

Don't panic - we're all saved.

Well, it works in the Cook Islands anyway.

You're kidding, surely. That's the biggest flag to inflation they could have come up with.
