So, they raised the price £6k so they can offer 5%

Ssssssh! You're not supposed to have noticed the old price - you're being incentivised.

It's Halifax, the usual suspects with comedy Cardiff asking prices to make your sides split. I might pop into the Whitchurch office and ask what their valuer is 'on', since his behaviour is clearly out of kilter with any reality that you or I might recognise.

An update since nobody uses the cardiff thread in the regional house prices section : I've noticed that asking prices in areas I'm looking in are if anything going UP over the last week. A few more sales as well, although not of anything more than £250K. Spring bounce on the way? In this insane country nothing will suprise me any more.

Are you using property bee? There's only about 3 gone up in price, for 300 down in price from what I've seen on there in the last month

Price drop today on a place in my block. It's been on about 4 weeks max. Just dropped down by 5.35%, which is the price paid for the one I'm renting when it was bought 2 years ago.

Some geezer was sniffing round, interested in buying it today, could hear him through my door talking to another neighbour. He's not aware of the price drop by the price he told them it's at.

Going through, there's only about 3,000 properties I can afford here now... might need to widen my search as I don't like any of them
