...there's never been a better time to buy a Barratt Home

Better for whom, one might ask?

Ah, the TV ads have started, have they?

Anyone old enough to remember the Barratt helicopter adverts with Patrick Allen? They were on all the time while prices slid.

I think you misheard. The actual words were "There's never been a good time to buy a Barratt home"

One of their 'Coming Soon' developments is very near me.

The planning approval was mid last year, it'll be interesting to see when they actually start it.

I can see them going right to the end of their 5 years, or even sitting on the land and reapplying.

It turns out I am wrong, it's even better. They have pulled out of buying the land altogether! laugh.gif

One of the employees of the land owner has had a newsletter today, and passed on the info at the gym this morning.

I nearly fell off the treadmill.

This comes on the back of a down tools on the local Bryant site and a for sale sign appearing on a site that Persimmons tried to get permission on last year.

Reminds me of Bradley-Stoke in Bristol in about 1990 (Sadly Broke, as it was named then).
A lot on new developments on a half-built estate. No pub. No shops. No railway.
A lot of negative equity. It took years to get back to "normal"! ph34r.gif
