WOW - that is an instant reply to Norther Rock's fixed 12 month easy access bond of last Thursday - which came out on the day that B&B dropped the rates on their last bond!

I think it has gone now. Back to 6.2%. As fleeting as the A&L one. dry.gif

Was thinking of opening one tomorrow. Oh well, anoher reason not to trust B&B. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they are going to bring out a new one this week to rival the NR instant access one! Some hope!

I'll keep my eyes peeled on the financial press (weekends) because it seems to me that NR, A&L, B&B, and Halifax to an extent are playing a cat and mouse game with these high interest bonds. I was going to go for the B&B one, but any spare cash I have at the mo needs to be accessible for April with the new ISA allowances (hence 6 months is too long).

Expect more soon.........

edit - on the subject of B&Bs financial stability, due to their position as being a broker of mortgages, I would say the debt on their books isn't the problem but the ease with which they can get credit. As I said expect another one soon.... blink.gif

I wouldn't put my money in B+B as a matter of principle, for their f***ing annoying BTL Ramping adverts.
