I did find that interesting. For as long as I've known, Sarah Mains's adverts in the Gateshead edition have been bigger than anyone else's, often stretching to 10-12 full pages.

As is normal over Xmas and New Year, nothing. All other EAs seem to be advertising again but not Ms Mains.

Any gossip? Any insider info? Or did they just forget to do it?

She'll get what she deserves, I've no sympathy, yet another agent guilty of ramping property prices up to these unsustainable levels!!

I have to agree with NeilRich - I often noted that Sarah Mains properties were pitched at a significantly higher price than other properties in the same road (thus fueling price inflation). Of late, it seems only those from other (more sensibly priced) agents are selling.

I've heard a rumour that they have or are about to lay off 1/3 of their staff.

It is a rumour - anyone know anything more definite to back it up?

It's no a stalker-type interest in Ms Mains.

The thread was originally created to ask why the company hadn't taken out their normal 10-page advert in the Chronicle Live one week. I only added to this thread when someone told me what they told me as it was the most obvious place to put it.
