I am looking to move to Amesbury in Wiltshire this summer to be closer to my daughter. I have found a great 3 bed detached house near her school which is advertised at £850 PCM. Given the current market I obviously do not want to pay full price. What would constitute a reasonable offer in your opinion? I was thinking of making an offer of between £750 - £800 PCM with a year contract.
Thoughts?
What do you really want to pay I get the feeling £775 but maybe £800 at a pinch ?
This time of year not many folk moving about so LLs keen to take the best they can get.
In the first instance check what the going rental rates are like in the area, and if the property is with two EAs play them off against each other.
Offering a year is always good
And try and stick to mainstream LA sI find the small independent ones charge even more (greedy blighters)
I had a quick look on rightmove at the Amesbury, seems to be a lot of new builds on the market, so IMHO unsold properties costing builders money, so try a cheeky offer.
