I'm thinking of opening an ISA with them and a general share account, as the site is really informative.
Are there any risks?

Share account is good. Unit trusts are a bit expensive - try Hargeaves Lansdown

I agree with that. It's also a good place to setup a dummy Portfolio to practice investing with no risk (or gain).
You can also send any paper certficates to them to add to your real portfolio, handy if you want to set up stop losses.
Their web site.
