Good work FP ... I was begining to worry that you had decided to wind down your media career following the barracking you reported receiving recently. Good on yer. 7:30 is a tad early for me as I am now on holiday .... I assume it will be accessible from the 5 live website ?

I saw you quoted in the Metro today. Apparently we have gorged on credit and now the money has run out...... smile.gif

Early?

I've been at work for two hours and I've just come home for my breakfast.

It's still not 7.30 yet!

They were discussing retail activity. FP did a brilliant job - mentioning consumers having "gorged" on credit, increasing costs of mortgages, fuel food etc and finished on the house price crash which has "already started"!

Great stuff

I caught it after all...

You could feel palpable discomfort emmanating from the retail council rep after the phrases "gorged on credit" "recession 50:50" "the house price crash has already begun" then the interview was stopped before the retail guy could reply - beautiful smile.gif

Good work FP.
Mr Yogi
If ever there was proof that sentiment has well and truly changed, it is that FP could get away with such a bearish statement completely unchallenged by either presenter.

For those who missed it he said something like 'Most people would accept that the house price crash has already started and that a recession will inevitably follow.'

Interesting that he was introduced as 'a chartered financial planner in the City' with no mention of HPC.co.uk. This will have given his statement far more force with listeners who otherwise may have suspected his motives.

Well done, FP
Catch22
Anybody got a link or can name the program ?

EDIT: FOUND IT 1 hour 40 minutes in.

Good Morning are we heading into a recession?

Welcome to Kevin Hawkins of the retail consortium, and Jonathan Davis, a Financial Planner in the City. These will be the men in the know if ever there were two

Ah FP is now accepted as an expert ......First they ignore you, then they ridicule at you..........

Well done FP. I loved the last bit "House price crash has already started". rolleyes.gif

It was very short .... about 30 seconds each. Stll well done FP. I was left wondering if they cut you short because you squeezed in your comments about the ongoing house price crash ? Possibly not what they were expecting ?! Anyway keep up the very good work - well done.
