It has finally made this site interesting again. To be honest I was bored of it but now there is some good stuff on here with emotion, informative statistics with a dash of good banter.

I think it has sucked since the summer because the best, i.e. most stubborn, bulls (Europa, Casual Observer et al) have jumped ship because they finally saw that we were going to see MoM falls in house prices and they couldn’t take the beating from the bears without being able to say “Yeah but house prices are increasing”. Now it’s basically full of bears licking each other balls about how right they were, and that doesn’t make interesting reading for a long term lurker such as myself.

I really wish I could argue with you lot like they did but the fact that I haven’t got a clue what I’m talking about most of the time would be as transparent as the “independent” Bank of England.

So I say bring on the IR drops, it makes my day at work go a lot faster when there is emotion on this site. smile.gif

hehe yeah it has got a bit like that. But to be fair there is still a lot of nonsense going around. Anyone would think you could walk into an EA and buy a 6 bed house for 90k.

Still some time to go me thinks. I guess most of us never thought there would be infinite HPI - thats just insane. What is more interesting is what happens now.

tbh I wont be happy until I can actually afford that 4 bed (1 study), drive way, garden place in a "nice" area. But given that every average earner wants this too and I am still at the end of the day an average earner (soon to be a bit above but im never gonna be mega rich) and there arent enough of these places I just dont see what will decide who gets these places and who doesnt.

fingers crossed it will be me cos Im a saver rather than a spender but then you have FTB peeps on this site who barely have 1/2 a deposit to rub together expecting to pick up the best places. Guess we'll see smile.gif.

Obviously Id rather have a nice house and lose the internet debate!!
