It's been a bit of a week for outages at one of our data centre's The Bunker this week. First we lost connectivity to the internet when our links to the internet went down causing a 4 hour outage and today data centre's who are supposed to provide guaranteed power and network connections decided that they needed to turn off our power to upgrade the UPS. We didn't want the upgrade but there wasn't much we could do about it. Anyway as our hosting systems are not just single PC's if it is turned off and then on as it was today it has caused us lots of problems synchronising with out storage arrays which has resulted in 10 hours of downtime today and pretty much finished us off for the week.

We hope this never happens to us again but if it does as we did today we will try and fix it as soon as possible. Special thanks to the 6 people who called us today to let us know about the problems. Whilst we were aware as soon as it happened it's great to know we can count on everyone to warn us if our systems fail smile.gif

We still have some sites down so we are going to work on them now but HPC should be working now. Any problems post them here.

While you were "off air" a lot happened,

1. Barclays declared bankruptcy
2. The Nationwide issued a special property inflation update, they say nominal prices fell 10% last month
3. Gordon Brown was arrested for making an indecent proposal to Alan Greenspan
4. Kirsty and Phil stated on the breakfast programme that UK property will "collapse by Christmas"
5. Oil hit $200 a barrel and gold topped the $2000 an ounce barrier
